About Us

So who are we? Well, we're Lucas and Holly VanBerkel. Two tall, Jesus-lovers, living a sport-filled life as we travel and live abroad in Europe for 6-8 months of each year.

We've been married for the past almost 5 years now and our marriage only knows European living or long distance. Since 2 days after we got married, we've been either living overseas (Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Turkey so far), and for the other 4 months of the year, Lucas continues to travel with the Canadian National Volleyball Team while I stay behind in Canada to live a "single", working life.

It's an incredibly weird life and sometimes there are those hard days where I forget why we're doing it; but when we're together and can explore amazing places (along with me cheering Lucas on as he plays the sport he loves), it's all just part of our crazy life together. It feels like it's just always been this way.

So here is the spot for us to share our travels with you. We love finding little secret or unique places recommended from our local friends, or we just end up stumbling upon a crazy spot of our own. Hope you can enjoy our story with us!
